Meet Dr. Alex Pavlenko
Follow the platinum rule
General Dentist in Edmonton – Dr. Alex Pavlenko
The ‘Platinum Rule’ says to “Treat others the way they like to be treated”. Dr. Pavlenko carries that philosophy into his Edmonton dental practice, Sana Dental.
Listening to his patients’ concerns and ensuring their questions are answered is important to Dr. Pavlenko. Before commencing any treatment, he ensures his patients understand the treatment and what is involved.
In a busy life schedule, he tries to find time to fish, ski, read books, travel and just simply spend time with his family.
Focus on the big picture
When it comes to dentistry, Dr. Pavlenko (Edmonton dentist) likes to look at the big picture. His focus is to help his patients:
- stay healthy through good oral hygiene and preventative care
- look their best through cosmetic dental treatments
- relieve their pain through TMJ care
- sleep better through sleep disorder (snoring and sleep apnea) treatment
Add quality to your life with prevention and treatment
“I believe that dentistry is a key component of your family’s health care plan. By scheduling regular cleanings and check-ups, looking into issues such as jaw pain, headaches, or snoring, and investing in yourself with the cosmetic treatments you may desire, you could find improvements in your general health and well-being.“
Meet the Sana Dental Team
“I have worked in my husband’s dental practice since the early years. My focus in the office is ordering dental and office supplies, accounting, office systems and policy, long-range planning, research and development, equipment acquisition and implementation.
I like to balance my time between managing the dental practice and spending time with our family. My hobbies are: cross country skiing, tennis, fishing, biking and travelling.”
“I graduated from the NAIT Dental Assisting Program in 1983 and have been a part of the dental profession since. As Sana Dental’s financial treatment coordinator, I’m the one who will assist you with any concerns you may have regarding financing, treatment details, etc.
I love being a dental professional, and I’m dedicated to the quality of service that our team provides to each and every one of our guests. My goal is to make your dental visit a truly enjoyable experience.
My hobbies include most outdoor activities; golf of course is #1, gardening, painting, spending time out of the city on the family farm and also spending quality time with my family and friends.”
“I graduated from the University of Alberta as a Dental Hygienist in 1990. I find dental hygiene an exciting challenge in all areas. This includes treatment, education and assessment.
I am always looking forward to meeting new people and helping them achieve their optimal oral health.
I have a wonderful husband, a daughter in University and a son in high school. In my spare time I enjoy travelling, camping, ATV expeditions and relaxing at home on our acreage.”
“I have been happily assisting since graduating in 2001 from the NAIT Dental Assistants program.
What I enjoy is the versatility that my career provides me on a daily basis, from meeting new guests and helping them achieve the smiles that they are looking for; to helping long time guests maintain what they have achieved! I am here to answer any and all questions about your dental or insurance concerns and making your visit as comfortable as possible.
My family is my pride and joy. With our three children we spend as much time as we can travelling, going to the lake and spending it with our family and friends.
When I do get a moment to myself it is usually spent gardening, playing slow-pitch, golfing or just enjoying a good book!”
“I graduated from the KDM dental program in 2003. I took a brief break from the dental field for a few years but I am now glad to be back and working with such an amazing team at Sana Dental!
In my spare time I enjoy camping, traveling and spending time with my family.”
“I grew up in Viking, Alberta, where I developed an interest in the dental field from working at the Exendicare Long Term Care facility for seven years. Afterwards, I decided to take on a rewarding career in dental assisting.
Having appliances and braces myself for much of my adolescent life also contributed to my interest in this field. I graduated from KDM Dental College in 2011 and have been working in the field ever since.
I enjoy getting to know patients, making them comfortable thus allowing them to overcome their dental phobias.
Other interests include roller coasters, travelling, cooking, volleyball and baseball.”
After graduating in 1995 from Keyin College I returned home to my home town, Gander NL, to begin my career as a dental assistant to rid the world of cavities and fight the war against gingivitis. After eleven years I made the “big move” to Alberta. I enjoy making our guests laugh and putting smiles on their faces. Also I am quire the chatter box/ story teller, one of my many Newfoundland traits. My spare time is spent with my fur baby Thomas, going to concerts, travelling and spending time with family.
