Your Edmonton Choice for Teeth Whitening!
What is Teeth Whitening?
Teeth whitening, or bleaching, is an effective and safe way to change the natural colour of your teeth so you can gain confidence showing off that smile! It can effectively restore and brighten teeth that are darkened, stained, discoloured, or dull due to things like tea, coffee, wine, cola, berries, smoking or general aging. Even traumatic injuries, medications, or fluorosis can affect the overall colour of teeth.
At Home vs. Professional Teeth Whitening
There are a lot of treatments available. From store bought toothpastes, to mouthwashes and kits, the options are numerous. While these products are less expensive than a professional teeth whitening, they are often less effective too. Because professional teeth whitening treatment is supervised by a dentist, and the whitening solution is stronger, you can achieve a brighter and whiter smile in less time. Sana Dental offers professional take-home teeth whitening, as well as in-office teeth whitening.
Advantages of Professional Teeth-Whitening
- Quick and noticeable
- Controllable results – you decide how dramatic a change you want
- Simple and convenient take-home whitening kit
Take-Home Teeth Whitening
Professional take-home teeth whitening kits are a safe and effective way to brighten and whiten teeth in the privacy and comfort of your own home, at your own convenience. The kit comes with a plastic tray and whitening gel made up of hydrogen peroxide. You fill the trays with the hydrogen peroxide gel and apply it over your teeth. You wear it daily for approximately 20 minutes, once a day. The trays work hands free, so you are able to multitask while you whiten your teeth. Most patients see excellent results after one or two weeks, though individual results may vary.
Because there are so many products available that use different whitening agents and strengths, it is a good idea to check in with your dentist before you proceed. He or she will be able to assess the condition of your oral health, and any dental restorations you may have (sometimes it is old fillings, crowns or bridges that are causing the problem), and come up with a course of action that will help you get the best results.
